I used to work as a flight attendant and this is how I met my husband Hanif Bari who was a passenger. Then I went into the recruitment world in central London and worked my way up to branch manager, then regional trainer for London. I loved the job, but the hours were long and as we were thinking of starting a family, I needed something more flexible.
So I started up my own training company which was great because I was my own boss, but then the business started running me as I had to take the work as it came in. Also, I had my second child on the way so that’s when I decided to be a stay-at-home mum.
I came across Forever in 2009. In the beginning I just saw it as a chance of getting my identity back as me instead of mummy. Now, four years down the line, I am a Manager in the business receiving a royalty income paid by Forever and earning more than my husband while working less hours.
The personal development has been huge and this year my second child will start school full-time and I can’t wait to build my business full-time as my goal is to get my husband out of his job.
