The increased income has also given me the confidence to continue building our property portfolio. We bought two more houses this year! Next year, I’ve promised to take the family on a holiday to Lake Tahoe California, Phoenix and Dallas, compliments of Forever.
My background is in teaching music/performing arts and also educational publishing. I joined Forever in November 2011 and got excited by what I could immediately see was a huge opportunity.
My husband Matthew was, let’s say, a little less convinced and looked at me in bafflement as I explained that a big box of cream was going to be instrumental in building our family’s financial security!
But, I loved the concept of network marketing as I’d learned about it years earlier reading two key books whilst on maternity leave: Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad and Multiple Streams of Income by Robert Allen. These books had completely revolutionised my thinking about creating an income and not just earning wages. However, I’d put network marketing on the backburner as I was busy being a mum to my lovely daughters Olivia and Charlotte. Also, I wasn’t sure where to find the right company and had decided to head into property as a potential new income stream instead.
Unfortunately, the timing wasn’t great. We bought houses smack bang in the middle of the credit crunch and subsequent housing market collapse. It was a bit scary so I retreated back to part-time teaching for a while and treaded water. I enjoyed this, but was still itching to do something different. This was when I was introduced to Forever at a property networking meeting. I immediately realised I’d stumbled across the right company that ticked all the due diligence boxes. Strong ethics and values were right at the top of my list. So, with amazing support from my family, my new Forever friends and the hard work of a great team, I made Manager in just over eight months. I felt fantastic.
One year on and the income from Forever has already allowed me to drop my teaching from three and a half days a week to half a day. We’ve enjoyed a fantastic family holiday in Cyprus, become members of a private swimming pool to share quality family time and taken out private health insurance. The largest return however has come in the form of amazing self-development and new confidence.
My Forever business is completely flexible, so I can choose when and how I prioritise my work and family time. The increased income has also given me the confidence to continue building our property portfolio. We bought two more houses this year.
